Yeah, I started it on there after this one because I figured there'd be more interest. Might just end this one soon.

Morning gym

Kickboxing. 15 mins skipping, 15 mins shadowboxing. 2 rounds sparring with my partner, pretty light and we're an even match. 2 rounds sparring with another guy who pounded on me pretty good. Kept getting hit, hesitating thus opening up, and then getting hit with combos and so on. Just a simple matter of inexperience, hopefully we can get going on morning sparring so I don't have to be such an easy target in the ring anymore. After that we practiced some jab/head kick combos. Shin splints were acting up and we were physically and mentally fatigued so no MMA class. That's the week. Stoked for UFC tomorrow.See you monday.

Thought this was pretty cool...progress on compound lifts over the past 9 or so weeks. Kind of hard to do a chart on this site so I'll just list it.

Squat 135,155,175,185,195,205,215,225,235*,185 100lb increase

Bench 135,145,155,165,165,65**,70,70,75*,60 30lb increase

Deadlift 135,155,175,185,195,205,215,225,235,245* 110lb increase

*Hit a wall, weight drops next week to begin building up again and ideally push past it.
**switch from barbell bench to dumbell bench.

Bodyweight on first day back in the gym was 195. Last weighed in at 213lbs. +18lbs.

Gym in the morning.

Awesome progress man, keep it up

I heartily accept the motto, "That government is best which governs least"; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically.

BJJ Class. Pretty average day, learned some handy new guard passes then put it in practice. Could have stayed for the advanced but felt too weak/tired.

I'm strongly considering rearranging my schedule, possibly eliminating mornings and condensing lift days to put less focus on conditioning and spending more time/effort on technique and using it to my full abililty instead of training feeling drained...I'll see what the training partner thinks. He rather do the early mornings but we might come up with something we both like better.

Slept through the morning

MMA Class
Warmup run, acrobatics, then like 4 variations of the wheelbarrow that were brutal. Practiced shooting for the double leg, then taking down. First alone, then with a partner. Then practiced shadowboxing and sprawling on command. Then drilled takedown/sprawls. Then we did king of the mats. Two guys circling, trying to take down and get a dominant position, at which point the loser is swapped out for the next guy. I did pretty well, people said my sprawl was pretty well and that I was strong. I seemed to get most of my pins by using the momentum of the takedown on me and reversing onto them instead. I fell funny on my leg near the end and the trainer was sure I'd be hurt, but it only felt a little sore, think I got lucky.

I've been brainstorming on the rearranging of the schedule. Thinking I'll keep with the morning training, just more emphasis on low impact and technical aspects. Going to condense all weightlifting into one day. Here's what I'm thinking

OLD SCHEDULE
..................Morning.......................Evening
Mon - Strength Lifting/Skipping..............Beginner BJJ
Tue - Hit Pads....................................MMA
Wed - Endurance Lifting/Skipping...........Beginner BJJ
Thu - Hit Pads....................................Muay Thai
Fri - Explosive Lifting/Skipping................Muay Thai + MMA
Sat - Rest
Sun - Rest

NEW SCHEDULE
..................Morning........................Evening
Mon - Shadowboxing/Skipping.................Beginner BJJ
Tue - Hit Pads/Spar..............................MMA
Wed - Shadowboxing/Swimming...............Beginner BJJ
Thu - Hit Pads/Spar..............................Muay Thai
Fri - Condensed Lifting..........................Muay Thai + MMA
Sat - Rest
Sun - Rest

Condensed lifting day looks like this (it's alot)
Squats 2x6
Bench Press 2x6
Deadlift 2x6
Clean and Press 2x10
Burpees 2x20+
Overhead Squats 2x10
Towel Pullups 2x10
Ab Circuit

Morning Gym

Dips 15,15
Overhead Squats 10,8 @ 65lbs
Towel Chinups 6

Ended early. My left wrist is really bothering me and so is my shins. So I called it in, and won't be training tonight or tomorrow morning. Convenient because there's a party to be at tonight.

Muay Thai/MMA with Pele. BRUTAL class. After Kickboxing I felt phenomenal, but in the MMA class I hit a bit of a wall. I'm sore, in pain, and feeling burned out. Don't really want to go through the day today because it's pretty late already. Gym's closed tomorrow for Halloween so I start my rest days early. Going to recuperate and begin a lighter schedule starting next week. I think swimming is going to be a very good idea.
