The takedowns didn't seem too bad, he just needed to set it up better. Flopping guard was a mistake. At this level however, people improve much between fights. I've heard he's a tough guy so I'll expect nothing less.
Weight cut went alright today. Woke up 194 on my digital scale. Took a poop and a pee and I was 193. No food or drink all day, went in to shadowbox and skip rope in a hoody and gi pants, lost about 2lbs, but realized that my scale was a 2lb difference than the gym scale. Wanting to be sure that I wasn't overweight, I went to the community center and sauna'd out another 2lbs or so pretty easily. Weighed in at 189.8. Opponent seems pretty game but once again it looks like I have a strong height advantage. Hopefully they put the weigh in pics up tonight.
Tomorrow I meet Kajan at 1 for some visualization and stuff to focus and get rid of some nervous energy. Then if time permits I'll drive to my hometown to drop in on the funeral. I'm at the Casino at 5pm for the last minute medical check, then I'll have an hour or two to relax. I think they gave me my hotel room so I might power nap it.
