I haven't been keeping up on here due to computer issues. Bought a cheap little netbook today so I'm back.

Still out of class. Leg is feeling quite a bit better, though it still stiffens after work. The ring worm has almost cleared up, should be back in class soon.

Since my last update I've just been keeping up with the GSP workouts. I've misplaced my notepad so I can't put my numbers down until I find it, but I've done another Push day with neck exercises, Leg day, Pull day. I've also been warming up on the agility ladder and did a couple rounds of pads and boxing sparring with training partner.

New gym opening in March. My memberships committed to my current one until april and I'm too broke to let it go to waste, but I'll be checking out the new one soon. It opens in march and is about 20 minutes drive. Kajan will probably be there lots and Kultar, the guy running it, is a very solid coach as well. It's a shame that I just moved and suffer a shitty job to be closer to a gym that I'll probably be leaving soon.

I don't know where that notebook went so the 3 workouts mentioned above will be forgotten forever. They were good ones! More recently

Upper Body Pull Cycle:
Repeat cycle 3 times, rest 90 seconds

High Pull: 5,5,5@125lbs
Pull-ups (Underhand Grip): 8,5,4@b/w
Medicine Ball Slams: 60,60,60@Small Orange Ball
Inverted Rows (Overhand Grip) 6,4,4
Single Arm Dumbbell Rows 6,6,6@85lbs

Abs Cycle:
Repeat cycle 2 times, rest 90 seconds

Stir the Pot 15,15
Hanging Knee Raise 15,15
Cable Crunch 20,20@160

Upper Body Push Cycle:
Repeat cycle 3 times, rest 90 seconds

Warmup Military Press 12@bar

Military Press 6,6,6@110lbs
DB Bench W/ Dropset 6,2,1@70lbs 8@40lbs 20@20lbs single hand
Lateral Flys 12,12,12@15lbs
Skullcrushers 10,6,6@45lbs
Pushups 12,6,6
Rear Dips 10,6,8
Dips 3,1,1
Pushups 4,3,3
Front Dips 6,4,6
Rear Dips 1,1,1

Towel Bite Cable Neck Pull 15,15@90lbs
Side Towel Bite Cable Neck Pull 10,10@12 resistance each side

Love these GSP workouts, I've been seeing improvements over the past few weeks in the numbers, and have been upping the weights accordingly. Playing with the increases is tricky though since it's all a circuit; an increase in one exercise and you make the whole rest of the circuit harder to do. I'm considering adding something explosive at the end of the Push and Pull days to mimic the leg day. I think a circuit to near exhaustion and a brutal explosive effort at the end is the type of body and mentality you need for a fight.

Speaking of fights, I got a text from the promoter, he asked if I was interested in fighting in July. I am interested. Details come as I know them.

Go away ringworm! I want to do class again.

Strength Training

Squats 6,6,6@205lbs
Deadlifts 6,6,6@205lbs
DB Bench 6,6,6@75lbs
Chinups 6,6,6@b/w+5lbs

Weights increased successfully all around. Felt fantastic today.

Lots of gym politics going on in my current one vs. the one opening in a couple weeks. I'm getting asked what my plans are.

Found a sweet pic of the punch that ended me in the last fight. Still no official video available.

Went back did some agility ladder, shadowboxed 5 rounds and Tyler Jackson was giving pointers on using my range. He wants me just working on deliberate, exaggerated use of my shoulders so they're basically turning 180 degrees as I throw the 1-2. A wider stance too. Then the training parter and I tried out some sled pushes. I used the large sled with 90lbs on it and ran the turf length 5 or 6 times with breaks inbetween. Hardcore leg workout, and I know the squats I did earlier today weren't helping.

Bumped into Battlefield's promoter on my way out. He said he's thinking about doing a card in may as well. Wanted to know my fighting weight and I said I wasn't sure, probably 185. I'm 206lbs today. The card that we discussed my fight will be held in Vancouver, probably July 2nd or 9th.

Shadowbox 3 rounds, hit the bad 3 rounds. A little more exhausting than I'd have liked, but what can you expect. Much more bagwork to come.

Took yesterday as a rest day. A couple slight increases. Forgot to do Sled Pulls at the end of the day.

Got new supplement shipment in, currently taking

Whey
Creatine Monohydrate
Purple Wraath
Multivitamin

Feeling good! I've been completely off caffeine/sleeping pills for the past 4 days and my energy levels are feeling much more balanced, hopefully I can keep it up through a full work week.

Got some stronger prescription stuff for the ringworm, have had it for over 5 weeks now but it seems to be on it's last legs. I'd like to do a BJJ tournament at our gym in a week or so, but haven't done jits in like two months

It's my days off so I'll go back again in a couple hours to do some shadowboxing/bagwork/neck exercises.
