I guess you can say I do neither aha. I would be training right now but due to finiancial reason that isn't possible right now so I am actually doing GSP Rush Fit for the next 8 weeks.
Hopefully after that I should be in good shape, I just want some noticeable differences physically. I can't wait to start training.

No Gi BJJ + Wrestling Class
Tough classes today - nothing seemed to come easily to me today. Technique was guillotines and guillotines defense, the defense was the stack and shoulder pressure in their throat. Rolled.
I was kind of bummed that I couldn't meet my 6 grappling classes goal because I missed yesterday's. But when BJJ ended I heard there was a kid running a wrestling class afterwards so I jumped in on that. You know what's worse than doing something you suck at? Learning with people that suck more than you. Tried to learn a hip throw and a fireman's throw with limited success. Some wrestling rounds. Body hurts.

3 Rounds Pads with lots of pressuring from partner. Frustrating.
No Gi technique was a take down, from any type of clinch position, step through getting a head under the arm pit and getting a strong grip around their body. Leg behind them sticks straight out, then you basically fall to your butt, dragging them down and rolling over into mount. Not the flashiest move but seemed to be working alright.
3 Good 5 minute rounds. 2 Were very challenging.

Medium Term Goal : Win my next fight - July 16th.
Goals last week:
-6 Grappling Classes Success
-2 Striking Classes Fail
-3 GSP Workout days, including extra Strongman and Neck work Success
-1 Burpee Session, beat last weeks numbers Fail
-2 Sessions standup with training partner, Sparring or Pads Success
-1000 kicks on the bag Fail
-Watch "Roy Dean's Blue Belt Requirements" all the way through Fail
-Find a torrent for "Ryan Hall's Back Attacks" Fail
Lots of failure! Didn't help that I hurt my knee on monday, regardless, I trailed off big time as the week went on. Getting in all those grappling classes along with a full gsp week were important success though. I seem to be too A.D.D. to watch 3 hours of BJJ video over a week, so I'll have to finish it this following week.
This week we'll skip the GSP workouts to free up more time/energy for striking training, keep up the grappling pace, and get those burpees in.
Goals this week:
-6 Grappling Classes
-2 Striking Classes
-3 Shadowboxing + Heavybag sessions
-1 Burpee Session, beat last session's numbers
-2 Sessions standup with training partner, Sparring or Pads
-Finish "Roy Dean's Blue Belt Requirements"
-Find a torrent for "Ryan Hall's Back Attacks"
-Drink 7 Litres of water everyday to begin water loading for a practice weight cut

Went in early to do some solo work. 3 rounds shadowboxing and 3 rounds heavybag. I think if I'm not lifting I'd rather do a 2.5-3 hour marathon workout than two workouts a day. Everything was good here, except somewhere I kicked the bag in a hard spot that was too much on my ankle. Seems to be slightly sprained. Same poor leg with the sore knee and groin.
BJJ
Did both classes, lots of technique. Half guard sweep, guard pass, grip fighting, takedown defense, a rolling kneebar from a stand, a kimura throw, back escapes. Drilled guard passes and only rolled a couple rounds. Lost a round positionally to a blue belt that gives me alot of problems. It's weird because he has poor posture, fighting my guard like a wrestler, but somehow his base is too strong for me to sweep. I think if I went into it fresher I could work some sweeps but if your hips are too tired that scissor sweep is usually a free guard pass.

Holla
3 rounds shadowboxing.
Technique was knee on belly -> switch to opposite knee on belly, spin around to mount or spin the other way into mounted triangle. Did a few rounds of flow rolling, then a few rounds of hard rolling. Lots of rounds, was loving the flowing - felt more like Brazil.
3 Rounds heavybag
Sprained ankle is tender but okay. Left wrist feels sprained now. Minor injury mania. I'll have them now so that my fight camp goes off without a hitch. Speaking of fight camp, I've been asked to fight at a small amateur event in my home town on June 4. I'm going to go for it. Gives me 5 weeks between that and my Battlefield so as long as I there's no major injuries, should be a good summer! Just over 2 months out from the first fight now.

BJJ x 2
Lots of good rolls. A black, brown, purple, blue, some whites. Didn't get submitted but didn't win them all either.
