Rainy sunday so I went to Golds (new gym closed on sundays)
ATG Squats
135x10
225x5
275x2x3
315x2,1,1
325x1 --this was brutal, I had to really focus on keeping my form, my back just wanted to lean forward real bad, feeling pretty good about that though, it was not very hard on my legs, but my lower back is really hurting

Bulgarian split squats
95x3x10 - tough

Leg press
this was my first time doing this not sure of the weight, I put like 5-6 plates on and banged out 4x10, wasnt very tough, I sort of mimicked squat form with my foot placement. Probably wont do these again, just wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

Calf raises
300x3x15 with like a 5 second pause at the top

random ab circuit for like 10 minutes, pretty tough, crunches, leg raises, leg throws, reverse crunches, windmills, twists, and something I dont know the name of, did it non stop till I hit ten minutes. Really working on gettin my core strength up to par.
hope all is well

Shiaaaaaaaat. 315 x 2 ATG is mad. What are you weighing now?

Too bad you are such a bench monkey

Also, that new gym of yours sounds awesome, you should thrive in that environment.

Haha, yea I know I need to get that squat a lot higher. The other day
I was at 211, so I think probably between 205-215

Worked with the trainer today, it was fun and brutal. Did a dynamic warm up then-
Big ass tire flip (its bigger then the ones on my truck, and I've got 40")
15-20 yards
heavy bag carry (walk) at 15-20 yards up and back 6 times
wall ball throws with 10 lb med ball
10x bw jump squats
1 minute superman with arms back and shoulder blades tucked instead of out front
did it three times, it was brutal.

My trainer said I have an anterior tilt (shoulders forward) so we are going to do a lot of correctional stuff, he is going to help me with DL, front squat, and the Oly lifts, as I've never been coached with them. Really looking forward to all of it, I'm going to get in 11 more sessions (maybe more) before I leave for bootcamp, he said he is going to put me on a 4 day split upper/lower. We do lower thursday, I cant wait.

Met with the trainer thursday morning.
Dynamic Warmup
80 lb sand bag carry up 3 flights of stairs, 2x up and down =1, i did 5!

OH squats with barx20
pushups x20
crunch upx20
switching feet on med ballx20
OH step up with barx20

did it with those reps twice, then did each for a minute at the end, brutal

ATG squats 225x6
Pull ups +20 lbs, focused on the negative, 6 seconds coming down or the rep didnt count.
did that 4 times

reverse crunchesx8
calf raises with 2 platesx30
curls with 15 lbs, 10 reverse, 10 hammer, 10 normal
did that 3 times

I never thought 15 pound curls would be hard!

Trainer worked on my squat form with me, it was brutal. Now I feel it all over my legs and core, worked up to 255x8, it was very very tough to get them all. He has me push my knee outwards and basically keeping my back completely straight while still going ATG, feels really good though.

Today-
OH Press w/ no leg drive. I bring it up and behind my head, keeping everything linear to my spine
2x warm up, barx15, 85x12

115x6
135x2x6
175x6
185x5 failed on the last just below lock out

weighted wide grip pull ups
4x6 +20
supersetted with weighted dips
4x8 +40

clap push ups x12
bent over raises w/ 35 x8
reverse crunches x8
that was circuit style, 3 sets, with ten seconds between.

wednesday did those squats i mentioned, Romanian DL, line jumps, switch leg box jumps, single leg box squats, calf raises, hamstring curls with swiss ball. I love working with this guy, I already feel a load stronger, and he has helped my clean tremendously, all my Oly lifts have gotten better, he said we will work on DLs in a week or two, once my core gets stronger.

Good work. Bench is looking good. I bet the volume stopped you from your 300 attempt.

Thanks fellas. I'm loving this new gym, tires are a blast, they have sleds too, I cant wait to get on those. GSP, I think you may be right, but I also have not been benching a lot lately, so it may just be getting weaker. Anyways I kind of like being able to squat more then I bench!
