Good job on the wrestling meet man, and nice lifting too!
Today we had a district meet, went pretty well.
First match- kids first year wrestling, i know him from some friends so i had to toy with him. he shot real sloppy so i sprawled and shoved his face into the mat harder than necessary, he shot again real lazy, i got over unders and flipped him and got and threw a leg in between his and went for a spadle cradle (by far my favorite move, youtube it, its sick) had a little trouble getting a headlock but i kept enough pressure on his forehead for him to move it, so i got it, and the pin.
second match- second school didnt have a 189, so theyre 171 wrestled up. it was bad, this kid was faster than lightning but couldnt really move me, so when he shot i sprawled and got his back, threw a cross face and then put my head into his ribs and rolled him over, he tried to keep rolling so i threw in a turk and got a head an arm hold and pinned him.
best start ive ever had. weightlifting is really paying off. I go against a kid who is top 5 in the state friday so that'll be the true test.
did a little lifting in like 6 layers of clothes to get rid of the water i drank after the match:
BB shrugs 135x10, 135x2x7
Incline DB rows 60x2x5
Power snatch 95x3x3
back extensions 1x15
felt like hell after this, lost like 4 pounds doing it so it was good. I do a little ab circuit in layers right before shower and bed that is this-
knees to elbows x20
plank x1 minute
tried to do it 3 times with 30 seconds rest, usually get like 2 1/2 before i get huge cramps.
been running 4.4 miles everyday at a steady jog with a sauna suit on.
