Yeah he is like 5 or 6 and 0 now he dominated Haynes. It went to a decision but he beat him up. It used to be on youtube but its not anymore. He is fighting Cale Yarborough in March.

bjj today. An hour and a half straight of live grappling. I did about 20 minutes of situational mma sparring before hand. Class was with Jim Kelly and we rolled the whole time. First guy I went with was like 240 but a beginner and not real athletic, I tapped him probably 25 times or so but he wouldnt tap to armbars lol I would just let them go and keep going. Next I went with a guy who probably weighed 175 or so and he was a little bitch. Everytime I would get position on him he would be like "hold up" and either pretend to be tired or hold his knee (torn meniscus, doubt it). The worst part was that it never failed, everytime I would take his back or get mount his knee would miraculously fail on him. Next I went with Yancy and I tapped him twice, once with a triangle and once with an arm triangle and he caught me in some sort of arm triangle-esque choke. He is bigger and a little bit better wrestler than me, and his stamina is great and he dominated me positionally but I was able to sweep him a few times and catch him a few times. I was able to keep him in my guard for the most part and when he got position I was able to scramble out. I also went with Paul(another 170 pounder) and he caught me in a guillotine, I kind of froze up for some reason and forgot any defenses. I passed his guard 6 or seven times and controlled as far as positioning, he is not bad, just out of shape. Then Jim went over our strengths and weaknesses, he said I need to avoid front headlock chokes better and as soon as someone starts going for one immediately protect my neck. I also got gator rolled with an anaconda choke by Yancy that was very tight and I weaseled my way out of it but he got the mount from it.

BJJ to start out. Just technique which was nice because im pretty sore from rolling yesterday. We did two half guard passes which was helpful because all I really had as far as passing the half guard before was instep on the thigh and pull your leg out. Drilled those for a while and that was class. I got offered a fight by a promoter who was at our gym today for April 25th. Hopefully I can take it but the plan is if I win this fight I will be fighting for the belt April 18th on my coach's card. If I am healthy though after that fight I would be more than happy to fight two weekends in a row, we will see.

After that I got a mile and a half on the treadmill. Took a nap on the mat and then muay thai. Started off running laps, then shadowboxing with sprawls. Then Kimura situps. Then we did partner drills, jab counters and jab cross counters. Then we practiced trapping kicks under our armpits. Good practice, I got a good sweat going. Wrestling tomorrow. I weighed out at 154.2 so I am ahead of schedule I will eat a little bit more than usual tonight to even things out.

Allright im behind a few days. Thursday I went to my high school team's wrestling practice to help out getting ready for the post season. Good workout, some live wrestling, drilling, and running.

Friday I did a conditioning routine where I ran back and forth on the mat 5 times, 4 times, 3 times, 2 times, and then 1 time. And then the same thing from 3 times but running backwards on the way back. Then power bounds with a medicine ball across the mat, then lunges. Then sprawls onto a ball then a pushup and then jump into the air for two sets of 10. Then jump rope, and carrying a 100 pound throwing dummy around on my shoulder. I also did some hurdles. I dont remember the exact order of everything but you get the drift. Conditioning.

I got a little nap in on the mat and then we had mma sparring which was pretty rough. All bigger guys except me and Troll but good sparring either way. No shin guards and not full power but I got some nice big lumps on my shins anyway.

This morning was muay thai, good technique session with some play sparring which is very light. About two hours followed by some jiu jitsu drills. Had to have my shins rubbed down by Neal which may have been the most intense pain for like 45 seconds I have ever experienced. The lumps are flattened out pretty good now though.

Went to the gym at 10 this morning and ran three miles and did some light bag work to jumpstart my metabolism because I need to get off the rest of the weight this week.

Then at five was bjj and we went over a few different armbar setups and some things off of that like taking the back and learned a little RNC variation. Then I ran another couple miles and weighed out at 151.4. I am probably at about 153 or so right now but im happy with where I am at with my weight. I plan to get into the forties wednesday.

Started off with a mile run and then bjj. BJJ was with one of Jim Kelly's brown belts. Started off with lots of drills for the first half hour or so and then did armbars from guard(kind of an advanced set up we have been working for a while now) and then the transition from that to a triangle if the guy pulls his arm out and then the defense to the armbar. Then I went and got another mile and a half in and weighed out at 149.9. I pretty much just have to stay disciplined on my diet at this point and my weight should be fine, I may or may not have to sauna friday night

Some triangle defense at bjj and a few guard passes then a good thai class. We were throwing combinations on thai pads with partners and countering jabs. We also did some good hard warmup stuff which was good for weight. Got a few more miles in at the end. Weighed out at 148.7
