Tripod87's Training Log

Saw guys like Negation and Wukka with their extensive training logs and felt like it was a good idea. I have a hard time working out consistently due to school but I'm hoping posting one of these will help motivate me to workout more. So without further ado, let's get started.

Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 142 lbs
Age: 21

Workout 3-4 times a week, every other day (at least that's the goal)

1st day
Clean and Jerk (split leg on jerk)
Military Press

2nd Day
Power Snatch
Dead lift
ATG Squat (sometimes front squat instead)
Overhead Squat

3rd Day
3 in 1s (hang clean, front squat, jerk)
LAT pulldowns
Seated Rows
Upright Rows
Pull ups

Of course things will vary from time to time but this is hopefully the core.

CURRENT PR's - 12/11/2008
Benchpress - 215
Deadlift (wide stance) - 285
Power Clean - 185
Power Snatch - 135
ATG Squat - 225 ........

Benchpress - 245-255
Deadlift - 335
Power Clean - 215
Power Snatch - 155
ATG Squat - 285

Not sure how realistic my goals are since I've never set goals for a semester's period of time before. We'll see how thing go I guess. I feel like some are quite lofty but if they were too easy, I guess there'd be no point. Guess I'll start the next time I workout. Be a while since I got finals coming up...ugh.

First day to workout since finals so I decided to mix it up a bit. Overall, I was very unpleased with my workout, looks like my squat max is probably lower than I thought it was, as well as power snatch.

Everything in pounds (lbs x reps)

Power Snatch
95 x 5 (warm up)
105 x 4
115 x 3
115 x 3
115 x 3
115 x 2 + 1 Failure

135 x 5 (warm up)
155 x 5
165 x 4
175 x 3
185 x 3
195 x 3 (1 with help)
205 x 2 (1 with help)

ATG Squat
135 x 6 (warm up)
165 x 4
175 x 3
185 x 3
195 x 3
205 x 3 (2 with help)

Dumbbell Incline Press (55 lbs dumbbells)
8reps x 4 sets (with help on last 2 reps of last set)

Close Grip Bench Press (first time to do this lift in years)
95 x 5 (Warm up)
115 x 5
125 x 5
135 x 5 (1 with help)
145 x 5 (3 with help) squat is terrible as expected. When I'm squatting just as much as I'm benching, there's a problem. I remember freshman year of high school my squat max was 275 so I'll see if I can get there once again. Just gotta keep working at it I guess.

Wasn't my best night at bench but I was ok with it I guess. I've had better Snatch days too. Guess I just had an off day. I'll be back at it Tuesday hopefully.
