I live on a farm, amazing meat and poultry and eggs year round! Plus, if you any of you all have the opportunity to hunt, go for it! Venison (deer meat) is the leanest tastiest meat on the face of this planet and the next.

I heartily accept the motto, "That government is best which governs least"; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically.

A) Bench Press
[140] 1x5 (Paused reps)
[155] 1x5 (Paused reps)
[165] 1x5 (Paused reps)
[170] 1x5 (Touch N Go)
[180] 1x5 (Touch N Go)

Note: Last rep on 180 was a grind. Took about 8 seconds to lockout but sure enough, I got it up. Also, I warmed up with just the bar beforehand doing 6 paused reps, 6 touch-n-go tosses, and 6 underhand grip reps. After the set of 165x5 my chest was exhausted. I was able to man up and push through it though.

B) Squat
[120] 1x5
[135] 1x5
[145] 1x5
[155] 1x5
[165] 1x5

Note: Not overly difficult. Actually, none of it was all that heavy. I'm not explosive and struggle with my speed. After squatting, I'm slow out of the hole. Any advice on how to fix it? I think that would help me out a lot if I could get quicker.

C) Row
[95] 1x5
[105] 1x5
[115] 1x5
[120] 1x5
[130] 1x5

Note: Last set of 130 was heavy. Doing it with strict form is such a pain in the ass but I'm really feeling/seeing progress in my back/numbers.

Why was Monday's workout same as the week before...?


Well, I was out of town and didn't have access to a gym or any real food. I just decided to redo week 2 and put everything on hold to get through the progressions properly.

Will be working out tomorrow sometime.

Nice work on the benching man, how is 180x5 feeling? I dont know if you ever read t-nation but there is a great article written about benching by Dave Tate (he is powerlifter with a PR of 610 or something on the bench) it is definitely worth checking out. I can post a link if you want. How do those squats feel? I like how you are sticking to the compound lifts, it is going to help you in all your weightlifting endeavors. Keep it up
