The spladle is so brilliant man, definitely learn it. If someone shoots a single and its sloppy you can get it real quick, if someone shoots and you sprawl hard and then keep the pressure on them, you can get it again real quick. The only thing is, dont use it to much because people will know its coming and can reverse it, I did the spladle all throughout my freshmen season and at districts the kid new I would do it and he played the hell out of me, he let me set it up and all, and right before I threw my leg in he roll really hard... Had me in a cradle.

What happens if they let the leg go? Can you still do it?

if you already have your arm and leg in then it doesnt make much of a difference, because their head and neck is trapped beneath you, just do it quicker.

Nice job on that pin man, seems like youre a pretty solid wrestler. 8-3 now right? Thats really good. My first season I only won 8 matches haha. Also about the tying up, I know its a part of basically every match, but if your quick (seems like you are) you can get some really good high crotches when you've got an arm around the back of head and vice versa, you know pull and then shoot? Give it a go, its a real basic move, but if done right almost unbeatable, our 171 gets me with all the time.
Also, I dont know if you have heard of Zach Sanders or not, but this shit is insane, the guy is a monster, he uses that all the time, check it out

Inspiration.

Ugh today was tournaments with 16 man brackets and things were kind off for me today. My first match [after my bye] I won 12-3 completely dominating my opponent [the crying thing to get out of a pin is so cheap]. My next match I felt totally out of it and it showed I ended up being pinned by some giant kid. The next match I felt the same in the second I was winning pretty well when I got careless and got caught in a cradle standing up. After this I was pretty pissed with myself, for not wrestling like I usually do. Off the bat I hit a knee pick and send him crashing to the floor with me right behind him getting a head and arm. We sat there forever with him on his back till the round ended was surprised I didn’t get the pin. Next round he tried to put hands on me with a collar tie and I went with his momentum and threw him to a head and arm this time getting the pin. I got 5th place and are team got 2nd I still wonder why I wrestled shitty for two matches.
Anyways that guy is awesome and the definition of inspiring I’m going to try to hit those pulls and hit ankle/leg they were awesome. Anyways do you have any videos on the whole pull and shoot thing I’m pretty sure I understand but its always nice to get info from someone whos really good at it. Oh yah and yesterday I got a default I was pissed.

Damn man, i know how getting faulted feels, just keep doing what youre doing. Ill look on youtube for a vid of it. But, how I like to do it is, when Ive got neck control Ill lean on his neck towards the leg I wanna pick and using that momentum change my level and snatch up and ankle. Ill get back to you on the video though.

So today I had practice and I really didn’t enjoy it overly a lot. It wasn’t what we did it was who I had to do them with. Since today was an optional practice I got paired against are 205 guy and he is like an f’ing skyscraper big and buff. It wasn’t that he was better than me its just his sprawls crush me and that he can basically use his size/strength in a brutish way to stop all things I do. But what I found works well are inside trips and duck unders. I really don’t like shooting a lot on him cause I hate that feeling of his huge amount of weight crushing down on me and my bad shoulder. But oh well there was nothing I could do, at the end of practice I went with a kid my weight and we went live for a bit. I even got one of those Zach Sanders ankle picks but I couldn’t finish it. I tried pulling it back like he did in the video and nothing really happend so I let go of it. And that was basically how my practice went.

So today was just a regular practice that went smoothly, worked on my ball and chains and some other stuff. Like the Mirko position and other such stuff. But today I have made a decision after learning about this from my coach I am going to start saving money for J Rob 28-day camp. This is the fastest way I’m going to get better and if it literally means going through hell then so be it. This camp is supposed to be one of the hardest things anyone can do and I’m looking forward to it for it will change me as a wrestler and a person. I have heard about new wrestlers going to this camp and in there first year going to state, and that is my goal. Next year I will go to state and this camp will be my first step there. Its in Minnesota and it costs a ton of money so I have to start preparing now. I talked to some of the guys on the team that did it before and they said it changed there wrestling drastically but they hated it when they were doing it. I am excited yet apprehensive all at the same time. Well I have to go to bed because tomorrow I have finals and the next day is a tournament.

Do anything you can to get to that camp. I mean sell your liver if you have to. I know a bunch of kids that went and came back like different people. I never got a chance because of work, but if I could do it all over again I would just rob a bank to finance it. Seriously man, at your age that shit would really make you into a superb wrestler. How do you like the ball and chain? I always liked doing that to stack people. Plus if they dont move, just pull their arm into their nuts and they will do anything after some of that.

Yah dude I’m so pumped even though it will be terrible its like the DBZ Hyperbolic time chamber of real life. Any ways had a varsity tournament today our school was the only team who sent both jv + varsity. My first match I lost pissed me off when the kid cut me shoved me down then when I tried to stand up tackled me. Next match I won with a front headlock in 28 seconds. Third match was crazy it went to overtime but the guy and me were rolling like mad men. One second he was pinning me and then I was pinning him [tall ass bastard get getting out of my pins due to his legs]. Eventually ended up winning 17-16. My next match was against a pretty well known varsity guy who was like 6’4 and covered in tattoos. He gets a single leg then hoists me up above his head and slams me down, which is great cause know I have bruised ribs. Any ways then I try to get out and he stars cross acing the shit out of me to the point where he got called for it. Next he starts freaking ripping the shit out of my legs I mean this guy was extremely violent. But I ended up getting pinned at like 1:45 of the first round. I felt pretty good about the tournament seeing as it was a varsity one and I took 7th out of 16. But back on the other stuff, though I have really long arms I have a trouble reaching through the legs and grabbing the wrist. Any ways going to bed I'm so f'ing tired,
