so it begins...
I thought I'd better start a log or I would never have anywhere to really talk about my training. not many people are supportive, but screw them. If they don't want to be constructive, I just won't talk to them about it.
Brief history: So, after playing football(soccer) for many years and starting to become injury prone, I took a step away and started to put my body through a rebuilding process. during my amateur football career, Alcohol and cigarettes were a staple part of my diet, but I have pretty much cut all of that out now. (just the occasional drink) I have a very good base fitness, I run heaps (shuttles, suicides, sprints, distance), i occasionally do bag work, occasional weight work, and heaps of bodyweight exercises. now I feel strong and healthy. i don't feel sore when I wake up anymore... but hopefully that will change now :)
I've been putting off starting MMA, training for a half marathon, but I'm going down to my first Muay Thai class on Monday, just to scope the gym out and if all goes well I'll be joining in on MMA class on Wednesdays. I can't wait!!!
