Muay Thai training camps
When I was in my early 20's I kickboxed, worked out religiously, ate clean, was ripped, could run a mile in 5 minutes. Life was good.
Fast forward about 15 years to now. I am fortunate in that I have a decent career and a comfortable income, but I'm soft, out of shape, and about 25 lbs overweight. I've lost that healthy, rock hard exuberance I had when I was young. And I badly want it back. I'm thinking about going to one of Thailand's Muay Thai training camps for 2-3 months. The tougher and stricter the nutrition and workout regimen, the better. I don't need a spa. I need a good solid kick in the ass, Marine Corps boot camp style. To my surprise there are quite a few of them to choose from. Any recommendations? Or any other suggestions? Would really appreciate the input. Thank you. |
down to two
Ok after researching I think I have it down to two:
Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket: biggest one with most participants, in Phuket, which is further away from Bangkok and seems quieter Kombat Group in Pattaya: seems more hardcore, results may be better here, just outside of Bangkok, so potentially not as serene a setting as TMT They seem comparable in price. Anyone have any experience or input? |
