lifting while in a cast

i broke my ankle and have a cast from the knee down. I already have been lifting for 2 years, but I need specific exercises so I don't get tired moving around on crutches for awhile, and also stuff I can do for legs, particularly my left leg b/c I don't want it significantly weaker when the cast comes off about 4 weeks from now. This is what I did today:

side delts
rear delts
chest press
hammer row
lat pulldown
bicep curl (mistake cause I meant to only work shoulders, chest & back today)
kick chambers L leg only (can't put weight on it)
abs (reverse crunches, obliques w/stability ball, stuff like that)
if anyone can think of anything else I could be doing to retain upper body strength and keep my left leg from getting weak, let me know it would be appreciated.

You should not be even thinking about training legs with a plaster cast.

I came off a motorbike, fortunately I was wearing a leather jacket and only me knee had a surface wound. I needed a caste so the stitches would hold.

I didnt even try to raise my leg all the time I was in a caste, cause it hurt when I tried at first.

The day came to have my caste off, and I stepped outside and could not walk up a curb. My ankle ect was ok to walk, but the whole leg was just shrunk to not much.

I did squats before I had the accident and it took 4 weeks after the caste came off for me to start again with squats. I remember riding a cycle during those weeks.

It took a year for me to be satisfied that both legs looked equally strong. I had strong legs. The nurse even commented on how heavy they were to lift.

You beat me to it! This is 100% correct. Granted the non-lifting arm will be weaker and maybe even smaller, depends on how long it's in a cast, but it will actually benefit from working out the other arm.

Did u not get your arm locked in place? Like u needed to learn how to stretch?

no i broke my ankle! fortunately I got the green light from the surgeon today for the bike and rowing machine. i have another follow up in 2 weeks and he says it may come off then. he says I can put some weight on it, as much as I feel comfortable doing, but i still need the crutches. He said I could do stuff like hip abduction and adduction, leg extension, hamstring curls etc. today i was on the bike 35 min. and worked shoulders. however i'm used to much more cardio than that so will likely increase it each day. i did a little with the heavy bag but extremely carefully.
