OMG, i didnt say watch the hips, read the whole post. Plus if you get in somewhat close you cant really see a kick coming if you watch the eyes.

Trained fighters and others are taught not to give signals by their eye movements so it depends who your fighting.



I suggest you look at there shoulders but keep an eye on the hips aswell because alot of untrained fighters will just use shoulders but watch the hips aswell and for untrained fighters watch their eyes.

Who said thier was a trained fighter in this senerio. Well anyways i always look at thier eyes, cause i can still see thier whole body. I like to look at the eye because it seems that every body always looks before thier about to attack.

this is correct, people that really know how to punch(i don't know anything about kicks), it comes from the core. shoulders are the target for your eyes.

i don't look down when i do my throws or takesdowns... when i watch the shoulders i can see them drop when they are shooting

i watch shoulders, which is lower than the eyes, and i do get caught with leg kicks, and sweeps(standing)... i fail to see how you get a better view of the body, especialy if you guys are fighting on the inside.
