Protein Power - Milk or Water

Hi all

Ok i've started using protein powder, i have a shake for breakfast with porridge oats and a banana and the same after my workout in the evening.

My question is should i be mixing it with milk or water? I use semi skimmed milk but for two drinks thats about 700ml. Is this too much? Should i be using water or one with milk and one with water?

Many thanks all

It depends on how milk works out in your overall diet. I choose to mix it with milk during most of my training, but as my fight/weigh-in approaches I switch over to water to help shed a few unnecessary grams of fat.

Ya it all depends really, I like using milk since I don't drink milk regularly but it may be different for you. I also notice that the taste with water is way less appealing than with milk.
