training schedule

Hi, I am currently working on developing my training schedule

given that i am in highschool, i like to lift weights 4 days a week(Monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday)
i do kickboxing and im thinking of adding 2 days of actual fight training during the week right after i work out (Mondays + wednesdays)

is this schedule sufficient enough to improve my fight game? or do i have to add more days of actual fight training?

do u guys have any idea of what fighters training routines are when theyre not training for a fight?

Train

Strength - Bodyweight exercises/weights
Punching Speed - punch with smaller weights
Cardio - Run/Swim
Flexability - stretch
conditioning - will come as you get more serious



So just build up and focus on Strength, Cardio and Flexability and also developing your fighting methods.


But a big word of advice

Don't do weights one day after another, space them out in order to let your body repair.

My advice on training is...

Training your fighting styles
Bodyweight exercises
Run
stretch before and after training
do some weights

Right, i see what u mean about the weights
i forgot to mention that the reason why i do it 4 times back to back, is because i do seperate body parts on each day so like
monday:biceps/triceps/chest
tuesday: back, legs, core

wednesday and thursday are just repeats..
im also trying to gain some pounds..im 145 atm 5"6, wanna move up to 160...will the cardio from kickboxing make it harder for me to achieve the weight increase?

Yes i guess so but fit is better than fat, your still in high school and young just build up and get fit if you want to compete at 160 you have ages to get 15 pounds in so it won't be hard but if you train a fair bit than its hard for most teenagers to gain weight.

i see...well im a senior.
i want to compete at 155..thats why i want to reach 160, so ill only have to cut 5 pounds.
im 18, at this point has my metabolism slowed down enough so i would gain more weight?

Yes i guess thats good enough.

Gain weight through muscle not fat.

Build up and don't over work or it would build very well(alot of people think the more the better) and try to get some protein shakes to help you build and recover faster.

Do a sustainable amount of cardio and when you get to the point were you have completed the weight task you set yourself and are ready to start fighting then do loads of cardio.
