Well you just said you burn 4500 calories a day, but only take in 2000 calories. That, to me, proves that you're an idiot. Unless you're overweight and you're trying to lose fat, why the **** would your intake be so low?

I hate to jump in here with all you guys, but I have a question. I'm 18. I'm 6'5" and weigh 180lbs. I'm not an avid trainer who works out to build enormous bulk everyday. I do the basics like pushups, situps, cruches, leg lifts, and some minor weight training (in addition to my kickboxing and grappling training). Before and after my workout (which I do 3 days a week) I take Whey Protein......and that's it. Now I don't seem to be building much muscle, but I'm maintaining my athletic, lean, and chisled build. So I guess my question is how do I get a little bigger? I don't want to have huge bulging muscles, but I want to be athletic and ripped. And also; how good is Xience?

I'm sure you're all laughing at my lack of suppliment intake, but oh well. Any help would be great. Thanks.

First things first, supplements DO NOT GET YOU BIGGER. You need to up your calorie intake to over 4,000 calories a day, eat LOTS of carbs, and make sure you're eating in 5-6 meals a day, not 2-3 BIG meals. Also, make sure you're lifting to gain mass, 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps. You can also check out some weight gainers, but still drink Whey directly after workouts and/or when you wake up.

So uping my calorie intake and lifting to gain mass will build muscle? That probably sounds really stupid but I've pretty much never seriously gotten into building muscle until now.

Yes. If you do exactly as I told you above, and I mean preciose, you have to really count your calories and push yourself. I suggest keeping a journal to write down your daily diet/workout and have goals you want, then check every month how you're doing.

wuk was kinda right...
lift harder, eat alot more, and taking more protein (especially after working out) would help
do not eat the wrong foods though, thatll hurt you. subway is actually an easy place to eat at and get what you need...****in jared

Bulking=excess calories above maintinence level and heavy+hard lifting. Pickup Arnolds encyclopedia of bodybuilding to learn about bulking/cutting+lifting.

"First things first, supplements DO NOT GET YOU BIGGER"

AMEN! Supplements do just that, SUPPLEMENT your diet+exercise.

NO SUPPLEMENT WITHOUT GOOD NUTRITION+Pumping iron(EVEN ROIDS) WILL MAKE YOU GET BIGGER, PEROID.
