Beginner!!!

i am the definition of a beginner i havnt trained or started to yet but i have a few ?'s

im 17 years old with no experience do you think im to old to try and start up?? dumb ? but i see ppl have been doing this since they were alot younger

im 5'11 215lbs but losing weight to drop to a good 185.
i am pretty strong i used to play football for my highschool number 6 in the nation but i had a nasty injury and wont be able to go back to that. i have tons of experience in the wieght room as well as getting into fights but i know nothin about MMA or any type of martial arts or boxing. so what do you guys think would it be smart to give it a shot?

Your never to old to to start training! But if you had an injury that keeps you from playing football it will surely hurt you in MMA.
