Hey all im new here, some help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all, my first post here. I love MMA, at the moment im currently learning Kyokushin and Judo in the UK. Iím 17 years old and im male. I work out from time to time at the gym hard and have some muscle on me. But I have a problem. I can feel my strength increasing but im not gaining much bodyweight at all and itís really hard for me to gain it.

I will randomly eat chicken, pasta from time to time and eggs etc but donít have a diet. I can barely eat 3 full meals a day because I donít know what to eat, and end up snacking. Basically to cut this short, I want to gain some weight and then convert it into muscle strength as I still feel im too thin. Could someone give me tips and some sort of a diet plan etc? I will go out and buy the food and ingredients, as im inspired to really go through with this

Im such a newbie at this whole dieting thing so really donít know what to do. Maybe a list saying Ďthis could be recommended in meal 1, meal 2Ď etc

I heard things like cottage cheese and peanut butter help, but I really just eat anything and everything, and I know some things I eat arenít helping at all. I was going to try Ďpro maxí for muscle but I donít know which is good for me and bad etc

Any help would be greatly appreciated people, thanks in advance

How much do you weigh? and how tall are you?

And eat protein, im not the greatest help for this but thats what i do.

And if you want to fight and your strength is increasing but not your weight that is good because when you fight you aim for the lowest possible weight bracket but its your choice whether you really want to try to gain body weight.

You may hate to hear it but speaking from the same position, you're probably not naturally meant to weigh that much. I weighed about 10.9/10st and by eating pasta pretty much every day I now weigh nearly 12. It happened pretty quick but before that I found it near impossible to gain any weight because of my natural motabalism, and the fact is if I worked out super hard, most of the weight I gained would just drop straight off me again and I'd just be skinny and ripped. If you eat too much now you'll slow your motabalism down and end up being fat in your mid 20s unless you keep working out super hard constantly.

I would advise chicken, pasta and protein shakes every time you do some exercise. Make sure you keep eating loads of fruit and veg too though.

If you're getting stronger, then I don't see whats wrong with weighing less. Its an advantage to be stronger and lighter.

hmm sorry for not posting them

I am about 170cm last time i checked and I only weigh about

8.9 stone (I know its really light!!!)

I mean, people know im one of the strongest in the year even if im not the tallest or the beefiest due to my martial arts etc etc. I know thats a good thing but I would rather look much bigger at the same time as I still feel kind of average with a bit of muscle on me.

Again, thanks for the help so far, more help would be appreciated

hey, yea when summer comes I will be at gym, and my martial arts all the time. This will be the first time I have taken it seriously as i only started like a year ago on and off. I just need a reccomended diet etc to help my on my mission. Thanks for the help peeps

Want to trade weight with me???lol.
I weigh around 170 walk around weight. But I want to be like 165 walk around (not to too big a gap) but I can't lose the body fat and/or I'm gaining muscle that I havent had before (I was a skinny, geeky kid my whole life until MMA)

protein. complex carbs. (pasta is kind of in the middle with regard to the glycemic index). primarily lean protein but you can eat "good" fats since yr trying to gain weight.

You can't gain weight and turn it into muscle! Muscle weighes more than fat does. So if you are working out with weights, lift heavy with less reps. Eat at least six meals a day......as far as a menu of what to eat, I can't help you there. I suck at sticking to diets but I'm sure there are guys/girls here that can lead you better on that issue. I'd give you some of my weight if I could...lol I'm 177lbs.......I'm trying to get down to 160.
