Wrestling Help

This upcoming school year I plan on joining the wrestling team. I have no previous wrestling background and don't want to enter the season with no idea what i'm doing. Any ideas of how i could learn, so when the season starts I will have some skills and can eventually contend for a varsity spot.

Just get your conditioning and strength up, let the coaches teach you technique.

Wrestle a friend. Even if the friend has no experiance its gonna get you into the grove of how it is so your first match or even training wont be a shocker. Run as much as you can and do football drills. Youll be moving similar.

Um, no. LOL!

Bro, everyone is new at one time or another. Do what someone above posted, and talk to the wrestling coach about any camps. Wrestling w/ a friend will just make you learn improper technique and will give you a false sense of confidense. Football and wrestling are two completely different things. In football, you're trying to push someone away from you. In wrestling, you're trying to take them in. All I suggest is working on your conditioning and get into some camps.
