Paleo and intermittent fasting?

Hey guys! New guy here.

I just started training MMA a couple of months ago and decided it's time I get my diet in order too. I'm guessing having a protein rich diet is what I should be aiming for, for the muscle building and all.

I recently encountered the paleo diet and think it's a great way for what I want to achieve.

Any comments?

There was a thread on this and interestingly enough I was listening in to a conversation about this not too long ago.

The crux of it is, that the paleo diet may not be as healthy as it sounds. Why? Simply because during that time frame there was limited amount of food available so that's what they were forced to eat. Plus it's all what we perceive them to have ate during that time period which is pretty impossible to analyze. I dunno it was an interesting counter argument to the paleo diet. My advice. Do what works. I already tried the vegan diet pretty much for a month. Didn't work for me. I'm back to eating meat w/ the exception of red meat. Mainly stick with poultry and fish.

Anybody have some awesome smoothie recipes!

Paleo was great for me. It's inherently loaded with protein and is low on carbs from processed foods so it's not difficult to stay in excellent shape. I was eating mostly meat and veggies at every meal which is my dream diet, I only gave it up because I like beer and hamburger buns too much

If you're eating as organic and as clean as the diet suggests, then fasting shouldn't be necessary.
