HELP! i need to gain strength and loose fat

I have been running 5-6 days a week and lifting weights 2x a week. Ive been dieting and everything. i have been doing good, i dropped from 198 to 170 in like 3 months but now i seem to have hit a wall. Running and lifting was working great for me, but now what?

Change that around. lift x4 run x2 adjust caloric intake as needed

He won't lose much weigh like that.

nooblift, you generally don't do these things at the same time. You gotta eat a large amount and decrease your cardio to make gains in size and strength, the opposite is true for losing fat.

No, create the deficit through weight training now that you're 10/ or so pounds away from goal.

You can spend the calories weight training which builds and maintains muscle or you can spend them losing muscle with cardio.

Proper diet and quality mass building = leaning because bigger muscles burn more calories on their own

toss in a few jogs, just don't make cardio your main thing.

What is your normal diet? I'm 6 foot and trying to get from 170-160 but hit a wall also. I have body fat and little muscle so I don't know why I can't lose weight. I just can't

Oh see im 5'9 trying to get down to 160, im fairly muscular already (bench about 210) im by no means a body builder or powerlifter but i still want to gain some more strength. Shaving off these last 10 pounds has been really hard. (167 at the moment) as for my normal diet, I eat 3 meals a day normally a med size breakfast with a little carbs, lunch i normally have my largest meal of the day. High in protein, like a can of tuna on some whole weat bread. (15g of protein per serving 5 servings in a can) I eat tuna more often that i like. low fat and calories, i think its really good for trying to loose weight.

dude try eating 5-6 small meals a day..it will boost your metobolism and help you loose weight.. and if you dont want to loose any muscle you should eat 1 gram of protein per 1 lb of body weight. 160 lbs = 160 grams of protein per day.
