Run FAR away from this forum for nutrition+weight advice! RUN

Get with a GOOD strength coach. Get A.) Your diet in check B.) Learn proper technique on bench, deads, squats etc.

DIET + basics BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE.

Goodluck!

Bodybuilding.com is for bodybuilders, not really fighters. Sure they have some articles having to do with athletes, but there are better sites, and asking a real fighter is of course the best way to go.

They have many grapplers who post in the sports training section and mma fighters.

And since 99% of the people that respond here know nothing about nutrition WHICH IS UNIVERSAL it is a GREAT place to start.

And if someone says fighters dont need great nutrition , please throw yourself from a window because you are AN IDIOT.

Who said they don't need good nutrition? I don't think anyone has ever even implied that.

I am not directly implicating you, just a rather broad stroke of the canvas. Considering the shorter time if you have been on this forum, you have missed some gems like "Do I really need to eat after training"? Or "Do fighters really use creatine?!?!"

Instead of jumping all over Kyle1, take a look at the site. There are sections for athletes and more general weight loss and advice. Just like every other forum out there, including our own, it is not just one subject. There are several different topics.

Kyle 1, you can come on here and say that BB.com is a good site, but don't say that nobody on here knows what they're talking about. Many people on here do know what they are talking about and when people ask question they try to help them out, and you get on there and tell them they're dumb and they don't know what they are talking about when they are just trying to help out...and in most cases, they do know what they are talking about.

I think that this forum as with any other has its ups and downs. You just have to get the advice and choose what sounds right for you.
If you are a professional then you dont need our advice, but if not then any advice can help.
I think that most ppl on here try to help the best they know how.

BB is a good website however there are several places i'd rather go for bodybuilding advice.

I've regularly contributed to this websites section and yes i have noticed quite a number of members replying with limited knowledge in nutrition however i put this down to general inexperience as many members are teenagers and are still learning. Most BB forums i've encountered are full of 30+ yr old steroid guzzlers... Thats far from a good role model for many of the young up and coming athletes that post here.
