Which weight class?

Hi, i currently weigh about 145-150 (fluctuating) 5"6. i want to fight at 155 but i would have to put in the work of eating more and lifting.

OR i could not cut much weight and just fight at 145...

OR i could cut down to 135 and gain a good size advantage for myself.

What are your opinions? Is cutting weight worth the advantage of being bigger than your opponent come fight time? If i decide to fight at 145 or 155 then should i at least be 5lbs over the weight limit or what?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

What is your age? and how much body fat do you have?

Cutting is better then gaining for a fight so i suggest you drop to 145 or if possible 135.

If you are young you may start off at lower weight classes but then fill out and become bigger.

im gonna turn 19 in january, so im still pretty young, and i dont think my metabolism will slow down any time soon.
if i fight at 145 then i wont have to cut too much weight. if i go down to 135 then thats a totally diff. story lol

would my body fill out as i get older?

It really all depends on you.
Practice a cut, and a rehydration.
See how you feel.

because of your age i would say go to the most natural weight. if you were older i would say 135 with out question, but your body is going to start getting bigger so i wouldnt do alot of weight cutting. you may end up being 200ibs by the time your 25, so who knows. i know when i was 17 i was 165, when i was 18 i got up to 245....so really your going to be doing alot of changing in the next couple years....

I walk around at about 140 pounds. When I fight, I do so a t 135.

I have a significant power and strength advantage over most of the guys I've fought.

I'd say stay at 145 or drop to 135

It depends on your body type and if your body has experience cutting weight. I can cut 10 pounds in less than 24 hours like it's nothing, but some have an impossible time doing it. I'd do 145 to be safe. If that weight is eay to make and you feel strong, you can always drop.

Get big encase you get in a fight in the streets .

Brock Lesnar will be the #1 ranked fighter, and will be best fighter ever.

Favorite fighters:

HW = Lesnar
LHW = Arona / RAMPAGE
MW = Filho
WW = Koscheck
LW = Ruediger
