I just fall asleep on the plane. Don't take supplements myself. Waste of money imo compared to just a healthy diet. No wait, I have a tablespoon of Codliver oil in the morning. . . force of habit, mom made me take it when I was a kid. Still asks if I do now. Keeps her quiet.

other than protein supplements i dont typically use anything other than a very balanced diet. however, long flights F*** with me pretty bad. the altitude, the cold, the time changes... i need a little extra help in that situation. besides, the Bs and the Niacin together cost me about $7 USD. so $7 every two or three mos. is no big deal for me.

Cod liver oil actually comes from the fish, not all supplements are natural. Some tests have some that to make a difference.

Codliver oil comes from fish? No way?! j/k ;]

But UseofAWeapon if arthritis gives you trouble then I'd reccomend trying Cod liver oil (give it a fair few months too to see any effect). It's cheap, like £3 for two months in UK and natural like Cyclist said. Though you probably have already, just my two cents.

I just realized how stupid that sounded, but you know what I am saying though. Not all vitamins are extracts from natural sources.

i totally understand. i research my vitamins and supplements thoroughly. if it is not a whole food vitamin or if you are seeing things like (Niacinamide, Thiamin, etc) then you arent getting them from a natural source.

as far as arthritis goes, nothing really helps except white willow bark extract (a natural version of aspirin) and pot. no joke. pot makes the small aches and pains melt away. i had an article that backed it up but i have no idea where it is right now and i am disinclined to look for it.

i actually have a thread somewhere else on this forum discussing the value of natural vs. lab produced supplements and nutrition. the body usues natural sources better because they natural sources are more bioavailable than the chemically derived versions. check out my thread and contribute to this discussion there, so we dont take up too much space on the TOTD thread.
my thread- discussion nutrition, supplementation in addition to low cal diets. all discussion of nutrition/ supplementation welcome (http://www.mmaforum.com/mma-training...your-diet.html)

thanks for the input guys!

i've tried it before and frankly, i'd rather suck raw sewage through a horses colon than drink that stuff. horrible horrible taste. they make a pill form, but they are freaking enormous. so, once again i rely on diet alone. i eat fish twice a week and i take a teaspoon of flaxseed oil (gross, but doesnt taste near as bad as cod liver oil). so far that works most of the time. its just planes and quick changes in atmospheric pressure.
