how hard or soft do you want your punching bag?
I like a mixture of mostly Sand and cloth packed very tightly so its harder then a store bought one (even though im using a store bought one atm).
As far as the material of the bag itself I'm not sure, i just refilled an old bag before.

It needs to be hard enough to get a high intensity cardio workout but not hard like cement. I think the mixture of sand and cloth is a good idea .Im gonna try that.
But I need more details on setting this up and if anyone got other ideas plz post them.

Thnx

I have a fist bag, its packed with sand pretty hard with like very little give. Its great for conditioning your fists. I know of people who used phone posts and wrapped huge insulation around it then covered it to give it consistency. It was cemented into an old tire. I actually really liked using that. It weight around 230lbs, so you had something really solid to hit kick.
