Should I go to Throwdown?

Ok here's the thing there's plenty of already established MMA places down here in San Diego. Thing is about 2 weeks ago a new place called Throwdown Elite Training Center opened.

For about $100 sign-up fee and $80 a month I would get unlimited BJJ, Muay Thai, boxing, yoga, spinning, use of their free weight area, kettle bells, sauna , steam room, submission wrestling, and wrestling classes. They also have health bar and some other swank shit.

Anyways, the place is pretty big(20,000 Sq ft. apparently this was were Xtreme Couture was originally going to be), and has Dean Lister as their BJJ instructor. Robert Garcia as their boxing instructor, I think might be same guy who has worked with De La Hoya, and worked with the '96 Olympic boxing team. And their Muay Thai instructor is some one who I've never heard of called Jhanex. And they have 5 black belts in brazilian jiu-jitsu will be on staff always.

I already know this seems like a good place to train, I mean especially with some one of the likes of Lister. But I was wondering if this is a good deal, since I'm barely graduating from Highschool this year, and my money will be tight with me heading towards college and everything.

So I'm wondering if this is a good deal, or should I head somewhere else?

$80 for unlimited access is friggin' cheap! Most BJJ places will charge you around $140 a month for 3 sessions a week. If anything, check it out if they have any "tryout" classes available.

It's the best!

I've trained with the people at Throwdown for a couple of years. And they're all awesome. All the bjj instructors are awesome gi and no gi. In addition, you have access to cross fit, yoga, muay thai and boxing. And the schedule can't be beat. I go do cross fit and no gi from 6- 7:30 AM, go to work and come back to do more no gi or some other discipline from like 5:30 - 7:30 pm... And then they have stuff going on mid day. For the people, the price and the facilities, it can't be beat.

IMO if you're in San Diego you should go to a Bjj school, we have some of the top Bjj schools in the WORLD. There are like 3 gracie barra schools, the riberio brothers school, fabio santos, machado, etc. I think this sudden uprise of 'MMA' schools is all about making $ also, and Dean Lister is known to be shady and not be a dedicated teacher. That's just my 2 cents though
