tore a muscle in my chest

About a week ago I tore a muscle on the lower left side of my chest and it doesn't appear to be getting any better. It's really frustrating because I can't workout the way I normally do. Even crunches are too painful. Just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this before. How long did it take to heal? Are there any remedies or health advice to speed up the recovery process?

Have you seen a doctor? If not, that's the answer to your question. See a doctor

Not working out would help. Anything involving your upper body/torso anyways. Your muscles won't heal properly or efficiently if they are put under a normal workout exertion while healing.

And wukkadb is right. Note Serra's right bicep. Ever wonder why it's alot smaller than his left? He tore it and didn't see a doctor about it, or he did and ignored the doctor's advice.
