Training
This is what I do for heavy bag training, let me know what you think and if I can improve anywhere.
First I start out by jabbing for 1 1/2 minutes single jabbing, doubling it up, and multiple jabs, body and head. After a round of jabbing I work on my straight right. Once again single, then multiple. I drop down and shoot some to the body as well to work those punches and work th legs as well.
After a 1 1/2 minute round of that, I do a round of left and right hooks. I work the head and the body, focusing on form and getting as many punches in as I can.
After a 1 1/2 minute round of that, I then mix it up with combinations of all of those punches above. I work hard for a minute and a half, then repeat 1 more round of combination punching, really trying to burn myself out, but keep correct form at all times. I work on my footwork and movement around the bag, and try to keep my spacing and balance.
Then a 1 1/2 minute round of low kicks, again working on speed, power, conditioning, and form. I go pretty hard with this round like the others.
Then a 1 1/2 minute round of high kicks.
Then a 1 1/2 minute round of low and high kicks.
Then a 1 1/2 minute round of punching and kicking combos.
I will start to build up the time to work my conditioning even more. But let me know what you think.
