micmo has a little shameless behaviour in the past
everyone is saying

first off great forum, lots of useful info. i think this is a great sport and i want to be a part of it. now there is a mma gym near my house it time to get started. i will have time to train 4-6 days a week with some great fighters. my friends and family all tell me i am too old to compete. that just adds fuel to my fire. i am 31 years old. be honest what do you think. no matter what i will join the gym and train my but off

Micmo, you're not at all too old in my opinion. If you have time to train 4-6 days a week, well then, all I can say is go for it! That's a dream for me. I'm 19 and I wish I could train that often.

Also as for competing, you're not that old. I don't know if you'll be turning pro any time soon unless you really, really train your ass off like you say you will, but I'm sure you'll be alright in amateur fights. Hell, with that much time you'd probably do well. Also at your age, I think the training will do you good. Look at Randy Couture, I think he started fighting MMA at around 30. He's hitting 45 now and he's in top physical form.

dude you are an asshole!!! one of my instructors (rip) regularly competed in submission wrestling tournaments and pro mma and she was over 50 and still hung with women who were in their early 20's!! my sensei places top 3 in naga tounraments regularly as well as other members in my club who are all over 30 so stfu you don't know what you're talking about

not really. i started training in jiu jitsu for a few mounth then was hit by hurricane katrina. just got done picking up the pieces,so i'm ready to crank it up again.
