I weigh 195 now and I'd really like to lose about 15 to 20 pounds in about 2 or 3 months! What are some good diet's or tricks to use to do so? *Recently I used hydroxycut as a cheater to help me lose about 20 lbs becuz I was overweight and wasn't working out and that helped me lose that weight, but now I am at a standstill with those pills and can't seem to lose any more weight reguardless.. Is there another type of pill to help me lose more weight/increase metabolism but not as dramaticly as hydroxycut?* Any and all help is greatly appreciated! thanks!

I was going to say "pinch a loaf," but then I realized you said 2 months, and not 2 minutes. Anyway, DO NOT use Hydroxycut. It's totally ineffective, and it's not worth the money. For that matter, don't rely on pills. I'd suggest eating several small meals throughout the day rather than three or four larger meals. It sucks at first because you're never really satisfied, but you get used to it. This has been known to increase your metabolism. It might not be much, but I believe it helps. I hit a plateau at 205, and my goal is 185. Two weeks ago I started this several-small-meals diet, and I am now 195 and continuing to drop. It's easier to keep track of your calories with smaller meals, which will likely leave you with a lower caloric intake each day. At least, that's how it worked with me. I eat 8-10 meals per day, each meal is between 200 and 300 calories. Take a good multivitamin that is USP approved (to make sure the vitamin is regulated and accurate according to the nutrition facts). If you take Hydroxycut or any other weight loss pill, you will gain back whatever you lose. It's all about lifestyle.

Best way to lose weight and keep it off? Lifestyle. Watch what you eat, and how you eat. Stay active, keep finding new ways to challenge your body. Of course, that's all in the long run, hence the term "lifestyle" as opposed to the term "diet". If you're talking about a loss of 15-20 lbs in 2-3 months, I would say you've got a very realistic, attainable goal that can be achieved through consistent exercise and a solid diet. But to keep it off, you really have to make a commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

So, to help you a little more, I have a few questions.
How tall are you?
What sort of fitness level are you at currently?
What activities/sports do you participate in?
Do you have a particular event in which you plan to compete?

A key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle in the long term is to find an array of activities and/or sports that you enjoy. If you plan on running on a treadmill and lifting weights to keep in shape, you will get sick of it eventually. My opinion is that you need to get out of the gym if you want your healthy lifestyle to last.

Whatever you do, don't fall for the infomercials and ads you see on tv. There is absolutely nothing that's being sold on tv that's better than what you can find in natural food. The only pill I'd suggest for a healthy lifestyle is a good multivitamin. (good = US Pharmacopeia approved)

I gave up drinking cokes everyday and switched to water. I basically gave up junk food. I dont eat a whole large pizza from Dominoes twice a week anymore. i eat more fruits and vegetables. I eat alot of foods with fiber in them. I eat boca burgers now instead of hamburgers, its a vegetarian burger. I dont eat cheese anymore, well almost anymore. lol

As far as it making me hyper maybe for the 1st 3 days then it went away. I did notice that i had lots energy.

I'm not saying hydroxycut is a good thing. I'm just saying i got great results from it. i've tryed alot of more expensive products that didnt work. It definately controlled my appetite. When i got to my desired weight i quit taking it and i kept working out and eating right.

Gotta love the plyos. Maybe Hydroxycut and other supplements work for some people, but I don't believe in them at all. I used to be my own supplement guinea pig, and I've tried many different supplements such as various protein supps, creatine, fat loss supps (including the original Hydroxycut), and others. When I turned 18 and moved out of my parents' house, I could no longer afford to buy any sort of supplements. I mooched multivitamins from my work. I found out in the next year or so that I saw the same muscle gains and fat loss that I'd see every year, except I was no longer dumping money into supplements.

Here's my story...
Living in Alaska, I tend to take winters pretty easy. I hibernate. I eat during the holidays, and the only exercise I really get is hauling logs, chainsaw and chopping, and more hauling. So I typically gain a good 15-20 pounds in a good winter. In February, I begin a muscle building phase which lasts four weeks. I continue to eat a lot, but it's better food than the rest of the winter. I eat lots of fish, vegetables, chicken, fruit, nuts, all the good stuff, and keep the calories pretty high. Then I start my fat loss phase, which goes from March through mid May. I keep my daily calories between 1800 and 2500, eating several small meals from roughly 200-300 calories. Here are my results this year to date:
On Feb 1st, I weighed 218 (I'm 5'11") **begin Muscle Gain Phase**
On March 1st, I weighed 210. **begin Fat Loss Phase**
--So, I lost 8 pounds without trying to lose weight, and I definitely gained some muscle back too.
Today, April 6th, I weigh 193, and I'm only 8 pounds from my goal weight.

I still have a month to lose the 8 pounds, so I am a little ahead of schedule, which is cool. I have never tried to get as low as 180, but I'm thinking about going for it so I could cut a few pounds and fight at 170. I haven't taken anything more than a multivitamin, glutamine, and BCAAs, and I haven't hit any plateaus. Honestly, I used to have a hell of a time losing my winter fat, and the first thing I did was splurge on fat loss pills (this was about 5 years ago). My thought was, if I wanted to lose the weight, I NEEDED the pills. I mean, who loses weight naturally anymore, right? Well, I found out I was just eating and training completely wrong. Now it's no problem, and I don't feel so guilty about splurging when the holidays come around.

Feel free to do what you think is right for you. These are merely my thoughts and opinions based on my personal experience. My own rule of thumb is that Food is #1. I take supplements to supplement my diet. They fill in the possible gaps in my diet, and that is all.

Well, I wish I could have been more concise. Sorry about the long story.

the thing about Hydroxycut now and alot of over the counter diet pills is they dont contain Ephedra anymore. They contain ass loads of caffeine! thats what gives you energy and somewhat suppresses your appetite for a few hours but you mostly have to take 2 to 4 pills a day to not "crash" now the diet pills with Ephedra have a thermogenic affect, they seem to work way better than the shit their selling now, but since Ephedra is banned by the FDA their not sold in major retailers anymore, but you can still find it on the net, and at some GNC stores.

Best way way to lose weight? Cut your calories and add cardio to your workout routine. If you weigh about 195 and your 6'(something) then try to have your heart rate 85 bpm or above. You should be loosing fat and a little muscle. So your total weight loss with be bigger. Hope that helps.

If you want to get any kind of cardio, you should be a lot higher than 85bpm. I'd suggest a minimum of 135, but 150-160 would be good. Target heart rates for fat loss or cardio vary per person, but 85 is barely over resting for some people.

Lloyd, great work! Your former eating habits greatly resemble my own. I used to have a routing of eating a "modified" frozen pizza. Whatever was on sale, hopefully freschetta, I'd pile on extra pepperoni, cheese, and whatnot. I'd eat half of it, wrap it up, and stick it in the fridge... Then I'd eat it before it even got cold. I couldn't resist the pizza. I'd eat a large bag of sour patch kids, or whatever I could get my hands on. A box of wheat thins was pretty common too. Anyway, those habits are gone, and even in the winter, I'm eating less of the crappy stuff. Honestly, I haven't tried the newer version of Hydroxycut. When I used it, it still had ephedrine in it, and I was always pretty amped up. I didn't like the way it made me feel, and it just didn't seem to work for me any better than without it. I'm glad it works for someone!

Really? Wow, I haven't seen anything that says "ephedra" in a long time. I see "guarana" or "guarana seed extract" but I never see "ephedra". I thought they totally got rid of it. I'm in Alaska though, so all I have around my town is a GNC.

I used to wake up at 4:30am for work (in a lumberyard) and work until 6pm or even later if needed. I had a horrible time staying awake just on the drive to and from work. So, I started taking these energy pills I found at a gas station. There were Yellow Jackets and Black Beauties. They both had different levels of caffeine and ephedra in them. The yellow jackets got me so amped up that I was nervous and shaky all the time. I couldn't think straight. So, I went down to the black beauties, which had a little less in them. It seemed perfect for me because two pills kept me going all day long without getting all anxious and jittery. I miss that ephedra. That was in the old days though, so I wouldn't get into that stuff again anyway. That job in the lumberyard was awesome though. I might as well have been working out 12+ hours per day. I don't know why I'm telling this story, but that shit is definitely dangerous. Now I'm hooked on coffee :thumb02:

6 meals a day, walk in the mornings right when you get up for 45 minutes at a brisk walking pace (like 4.0) and eat low fat low carb foods. Fat burners are ok, i like Arson from muscle asylum. Take some vitamin b. drink alot of water (and nothing else) control your portion size too. and continue regular exercising (lifting, running etc)

youll loose fat like college girls loose morals after 2 beers

I've taken Hydroxycut Hardcores. Theyw ork amazingly. I've kept all of my muscle and lost about 15 punds in the past month and a half. My excercise and eating routines have changed too. I don't run though, I roll for about 3-5 hours a day (IMO does way way more for your cardio because you use every muscle in your body and you learn proper breathing). I stopped taking HH after my first bottle (plateud) and took Lipo 6x for a bit, lost about 5 pounds but I didn't liek them that much. Now I'm taking arson and it works fantastically. All in all, I weight 225 7 months ago, I'm now down to 170. None of the pills have made me jittery or anything, but then again Im damn near immune to caffine. I also stopped drinking pop, and started drinking Grean tea (real green tea not that lipton concentrated BS) and it does wonders for your metabolism.

Lean protein, complex carbs, and if you're a drinker, cut way back on alcohol or eliminate it entirely. I did this and I lost about 7 lbs.

Tra, is the supplement you mention incredibly expensive? Can ladies use it without growing facial hair?
