I'm not veg, but I don't eat a lot of meat. Protein wise, the soy suppliment has more per 100gs than the whey one (yes, the whey has more stuff to help you bulk up, but I don't want to do that). I also think if there's a good enough alternative to hurting sweet little animals, then why the hell not.

Here are the basics you should have

-A Multivitamin/Mineral
-Fish Oil
-Alpha Lipoic Acid
-Joint Support Supplement
-CoQ-10
-A Decent Whey Protein Powder

if you are just getting started those are the basics
you may also want to consider

-L-Glutamine (Powder or Capsule form)
-BCAA's- (Liquid or Pill Form)

Things like Nitric Oxide, Creatine, Anything that messes with your hormones is completely unnecessary.

Nitric Oxide may be something you would use to get you going before your workout in terms of energy and endurance, but again if you are just starting out, you may want to wait to see if it's really something you need.

Creatine is big nowadays. Reduces Recovery time, draws water into the muscle cells for growth but after you stop using it, which you may have to do because it's fairly expensive, you lose all your gains and you might get stretch marks which are pretty unsightly.

Testosterone Boosters and procalimed "legal pro-hormones and pro-steroids" like Methyl 1-D are great products but again like with creatine results will eventually go away after you cycle off and cycling off is not a pleasant experience. Libido goes on vacation, your nuts with shrink up (but will eventually come back), energy levels go down, puffy nipples all that fun stuff.

Natural Testosterone Boosters like Tribulus are great but it's not enough that's going to make a HUGE difference.

Many people don't realize the supplements are only as good as your diet and exercise program. If you eat like shit, don't sleep enough and don't workout properly your supplements will be wasted. A Supplement is just that, A Supplementation to your diet and exercise program.

Good Luck and hope this helps

hmmm I just ordered 2 BSN products cause i wanted to try them out. Hopefully I wont hate them like you do

Believe.

Glad I could help.

Like I said though all that stuff above is going to be most effective if you eat right, sleep well and train hard.

Also remember that supplements aren't miracle pllls. You may not see a noticeable difference in your overall health, gains etc for a few weeks on average
