AKA Martial Arts. I'm not claiming to be an awesome fighter, I'm just stating the facts.

You actually are implying your awesomeness. On a scale of 1-10, you're over 9000.
And my god to the 2nd part.

I just recently got into all the MMA stuff, and I have found Tae-Kwon-Do to be a very effective striking style, so what is Muay Thai important for?

By AKA do you mean Arizona Kenpo Academy?
How can you not know what mauy thai is? It's the most effective striking system for mma. You need to look up some black belts in muay thai to train with then you will be a good fighter.
Check out this link for some good muay thai.

Lol, please. Anyone who knows Muay Thai would get you in one and you would be knee'd into unconsciousness. If you were in one, do you know how to get out?
