You really gotta ask yourself, how bad do you want it?

That's something he'll find out along the way. He certainly can't answer that question now.

I appreciate all of your responses. It is something that I want bad, and I am going to put in the work it takes to get there.

if you can believe it, you can achieve it.

Just need to have a little faith in yourself and you can accomplish pretty much anything!!

mental game is all it is.

I don't think you're too old. Would people say that at age 43, you'd be way too old to fight in the UFC but you know what, Couture did it.

The only one that can stop you from doing it is yourself.

Just work hard for a few years then give it a try at some of the smaller shows.

Good luck.

heh, i keep asking myself the same questions :P i'm 22 as well and i almost kind of started to train (but not anymore unfortuneatly). i'm not looking to get into shape or something, i would just like to one day get in to a cage with other guy and find out what i'm really made of.
it all depends on capabilities and dedication. If someone is extremely eazy learner, have plenty of free time and a bit of money, starting mma at 22 years old he can become a proper fighter in few years (with a bit of luck).
I hope we will be able to achieve our goals mate, good luck

I'm sure some fighters didn't start training until they were in there 20s.

So I've been working our for a little over a month now and just started Gracie BJJ yesterday. Things are looking good. Just wanted to update people in case they were following my progress.

Thanks
