Well you could do a few neck exercises to strengthen it a bit. Have someone put pressure on it while you try to move it in various directions. Do some bridges as well. If it's already hurting, you can get a heating pad or put ice on your neck (don't make a habit of icing your neck after every practice that's not really good) Bridges help strengthen your neck
. Ya.. having a sore neck is a pain in the ass. Just give it some time....it'll go away.
