Best basic fitness work out

lately I posted a thread about rich franklins work out and everyone has been commenting about how some of the exercises are bad for you and hurt your joints or other things like that.

The work outs that I use that I think are the best are

the core workout and mens health weight free work out. I think that you can get in tremendous shape and you don't need a guy or bow flex home gym or anything like that. with Just your own body weight you can get in great shape. Pick up a book called mens health best weightfree workout and that will give you all you need and your not hurting your joints are any thing like that with heavy weights.

core work outs are great too. I think your core is the most important part of your body. It would be wise to have a medicine ball and dumbbells and a core stability ball.

Full Body workout are bad for your body. Especially if you do it more than once a week and your body doesn't recover properly.

Body weight exercises are great if your on a budget.

Yea right. So Bill Starr and Mark Rippetoes are wrong? 5x5 and Rippetoes doesn't work?
