Protein Question

So I have football practice (usually pretty intense) 6 days a week and workout on my own 5 days a week usually for about an hour. How much protein should I get every day? Where and how can I get protein for a low price(im 16 without a job right now)?

Also, I tend to get A LOT of carbs throughout the day. Is this good or not?

No proteinz, you only got one liver.

Jk. Scivation Whey (Chocolate - 10 lbs) @ $54.99 is available on on the 18th, but if not, I'd say go with either dymatize or ON (Optimum Nutrition) whey. You can go to like or, or just a local GNC. And the carbs are very good for you, and you should probably get .8 to 1 gram of protein per lb. of bodyweight.

I try to go for around 1.3 - 1.5 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight on me (i.e. : 165 lbs, 210 grams of protein).

It'll be tough coming up with the money considering you don't have a job but Scivation Whey, Optimum Nutrition, and Respect are some top of the line whey products.

Personally, you might be better of going with a creatine product. Most are a lot cheaper than the whey products. Controlled Labs Green Magnitude is great tasting and very beneficial (I've gained three pounds of muscle over the last two weeks), Muscle Tech's Cell Tech Hardcore is an awesome product, and Gaspari's Size On has proved to give some people MAJOR gains.

Whatever you want to do, up to you.
