sorry it took so long to get back, but personally i dont eat anything before my workout. i usually do it around 6am before work, on an empty stomach (save for as much water as i can chug). that way the only energy you're using is body fat, which will help cut you up like a mofo. if you can stick to that program, and give er sh*t each time, you'll be amazed at the difference. i usually go as hard and as fast as i can at the first "5" minute, and then try to think to myself "if i was in a fight, and i was spent, what would i do now" and then keep it up till you're done. you'll be suprised at how accurate you can be when everything is blurry and you feel like you're about to pass out, but know you need to keep swinging to "stay alive". good luck if you decide to try it and stick with it, cheers!
