Supplements

Hello i was in walmart the either day buying deodorant and whatnot and i see a supplement wall....and im thinking what the heck wal-mart and supplements this is odd

I go check it out and i see all different types of stuff like protein, creatine, glutamine, weightloss pills and all types of bars and stuff

So i was wondering why not get some since it is so cheap..i talked to a couple friends some said its garbage others said it works the same just much cheaper.

So does anyone have a definitive answer? As i am quite low on cash

if you are poor for the moment (we all been there) I'd suggest sticking to a good diet first, before spending 30,40 or 50$ on supplements. Stick to a good diet, buy a couple protein bars, get a good workout itinerary, rest and you should see results in no time.

The 6 star brand of whey is good. I can vouch for that. I haven't tried anything else from wal-mart so I can't comment.

Protein bars are stupid, don't buy them.

If you can find a way to order online you'll save even more though.

How do you figure? Protein bars are great depending on which ones you go with and are great for a pre/post workout snack or in between a meal.

Zero Impact Bars, IMO are the best as far as ingredients, Supreme Peanut Butter are the best tasting ones.

The body fortress stuff is okay if you are on a budget but if you can afford it get some Optimum or Dymatize Whey Protein.

IMO, Six Star and anything Iovate owned is a waste of money

i walked into a gnc and saw all these awesome supplements, then i saw the price, but i've been using the sixstar muscle stuff and it's great, i read that it's like nitrotech but with less servings, and some guy even said thats better because he recommends half the nitrotech anyways

i'm sixteen and can't afford all of this stuff, but i walk into walmart got some nice gloves to spar in and they sell good supplements

does anyone know which is better or whats the difference between the musclebuilding milkshake (the one i'm using now) or the straight up whey protein?

The reason you were shocked by the price is because GNC charges MSRP prices on products in their stores. SO it's better to buy it online.

And, IMO muscletech, MAP, and Six Star Muscle are all overhyped garbage products.

Go online and buy products. When push comes to shove, you'll find the best bargains on the internet as long as the website is legit.

Completely overpriced. Better off with a shake. Add oats and peanut butter and you already have a meal/inbetween meal for cheaper that's less processed with less fake sugar garbage.

I'll say it again, the 6 star is a decent protein, especially for it's shelf price range.

And I don't know what the 'muscle builder' is. If it's a weight gainer, then I'd opt for the protein next time. Learn to read your labels.

I use Mass XXX. Its 750 calories a serving, 50 g of protein, 124 carbs. Energizes me, helps me gain weight (I'm a smaller dude), keeps me going.
