does this sound right?

ive posted in my intro that im working to lose my gut. ive been hearing that i should maybe do a little less running and more weight training to build muscle mass which will help me burn alot of body fat(muscle mass is also on my list of things to do)
is this true? do i stand to lose more body fat weight training with less jogging and stuff or is that BS?
and if it is true what do you guys think of the muscle building supplements?

look up high intensity interval training (HIIT) and read about it. basically you use a whole different system to utilize your eneregy when you're going fast or lifting heavy weights (anaerobic, which is a whole lot less fuel efficient). a good comparison would be:

you have a fuel economic 2008 model toyota that doesn't go past 20miles an hour, and you have an old ass gigantic inefficient american car which reaches a top speed of 120mph. you have an hour a day to use as much fuel as you can, which car do you chose?

of course the less efficient car going at a much faster speed is going to use more energy.

read up man, you'll thank me later.
