Training for submission hunt

Every year in March I participate in a submission hunt. Its like a GI/no GI Jits tourney. Anyway because of my new son I have no time to roll as often as I would normally for this event, but I have an idea. Have you ever heard that conditioning is the best technique of all? I am going to test this theory by working my cardio harder than ever. I'm not all that shabby on my ground game, I did manage third in my weight class last year. So I am looking forward to pushing a harder and faster, longer lasting pace on my opponents. I plan on doing a lot of circuit training, strength training mixed in with sprints. lots of hard rounds of running. Any other ideas?
