calories intake

Im currently weighting 195 and im 5 11, training 6 to 7 days a week, jui-jitsu 4x a week, kikboxing 4x a week, I also have a mma class 2x a week and the rest of the time I go to the gym to do cardio and weight lifting. I eat 6 to 8 times a day and I was wondering how many calories should I eat in a day?

It really depends on your goals. Are you trying gain muscle mass or lose fat? Anyhow, go here http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm .. It should give you an idea.

If you're trying to gain, I'd do 500 above maintenance (per day that is)along with a good weight lifting program. And likewise, if you're trying to lose, eat 500 below.

thanks useful link! I was planning on weighting 190 pounds at the end of Febuary, I have to weight 185 pounds by mid-March I have a competition soon. I also need to gain more muscles so the weight cut is being complicated.

3000 calories a day at the very least. I would aim for 3500-4000

I eat around 1900-2700 a day. Im usually under 170 @ 5'9"

I do kickboxing 3-4 times a week, running and weight training 5 times a week.

From my own personal experience, cutting and building muscle at the same time is tough. You need to eat very very clean in order to be able to feed growing muscles and also to lose fat, during wrestling seasons I would do a lot of cardio outside of practice, usually trying to big hills as that helps get your heart rate up to burn fat. But you should also try and do some circuit type training which will help you accomplish both goals.

I heartily accept the motto, "That government is best which governs least"; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically.

Thanks guys that helps im on a good track right now. Will be ready for competition soon. I've decided to do the weight cut first and build more muscle after my competition much easier. Thanks again!

We should take the certain quantity of the calories which are need of the body but we should not take the high quantity of the calories which are really cause of the fat and over weighting.
