This sounds familiar. I could have sworn there was a UFC All Access on somebody and they did this (maybe Rich Franklin) where he ate super healthy but then one meal a week or something he just gorged himself with all kinds of horribly unhealthy food. Then some big guy (maybe Tim Sylvia) said that "man when he eats like that he can put me to shame" or something. But then again maybe I am mixing up a video I saw on a post fight meal or something.

Besides that I have heard a lot of stuff about cheating on your diet every now and again. I don't think your body processes all the unhealthy food if you have been eating clean for a while and even so if you don't cheat on your diet once in a while you could get sick of it and fall off it for more than just once a week or whatever.

In this case, fat loss results would be compromised. Therefore, still use common sense and self control in order to make your cheat meal work.
As you can see, it's not suggested to go out and eat a big mac, fries, and a coke in order to help spike your metabolism. The thing they are probably suggesting is to just mix it up, and not eat the same thing day in and day out.

Also, unless your diet is super, super strict, I guarantee you don't need to worry about one cheat meal in order to spike your metabolism.
