Hey guys, I was curious if doing this weekly would result in overtraining or if the non-lifting days would result in loss of muscle or anything, even if I feel fine?
max strength training on Monday (just strength training)
core and MMA class on Tuesday (split up by a few hours)
circuit conditioning for an hour, then straight to wrestling for an hour on Wednesday (back to back)
core and MMA class on Thursday (again, not back to back)
explosive strength training on Friday (just strength training)
Muay Thai for an hour, then straight to jiu-jitsu for an hour on Saturday (back to back)
I ask mainly about Wednesday and Saturday where I go straight from a 1 hour class right to another. I heard over 55 minutes of straight like conditioning causes muscle breakdown? I just want to be sure both days are beneficial and wont negate my strength training? But it's not like im just running on a treadmill for 2 hours right, both wednesday and saturday those classes consist of using all your muscles they are more "conditioning" than "cardio" right?
I dont know where you got the over 55 minutes is to much thing but i dont think its very valid.
At the gym i go to our workout are 2 hrs minimum. On fridays its 1hr straight cardio circuit training. Then we have a 5 minute break and either roll or spar for another 30 mins to and hr.
A good rule is to just listen to your body. Some people can train more then others for lots of differnt reasons.
It's all about nutrition. If you're diet is right, you'll be fine.
ya my diet is good. I don't particularly WANT to go straight from circuit conditioning into wrestling, Id rather wrestle as fresh as I can be. But with being a junior in high school I dont have time to split things up to different days all the time.
