How much should I train

I think I am over training. I have been using my heavy bag for 10 days straight for like 5 hours a day and now my back hurts and my whole body hurts.

Should I just do like box 3 days a week for 30 minutes or what?

I'm pretty sure you're not overtrained if all you are doing is hitting the heavy bag. If you feel sore though, take a day or two off. I would say you can train every day on heavy bag, or do 6x a week and rest on Sunday. Make sure your diet is good and you are getting enough sleep; sleep and calories are the most important thing for recovery.

What should I do for a heavy bag routine?

Like how many times a week, and how long?

I take a lot of breaks though

Five hours a day! Are you for real?

You don't wanna be doing that. You will just be too tired by the end and your technique will get sloppy.

You don't really need to do more than an hour on it a day. Break it down into rounds, so it's like a fight.

What other training are you doing other than your bag work?

Listen to your body, if you are in pain all the time then you are doing something wrong.

Yeah I just took 3 days off to recover, body still sore and back having problems. I guess it was stupid, I should've applied my bodybuilding knowledge to the boxing.

that's your upper lip.

I trained in bodybuidling for 5 years, took 2 years off from hernia. I took advanced human biology, advance chemistry, fitness, health management, weight lifting and I won the national science academy award at 15 for human biology.

This thread was a review of my personal experience, you disagree then dont read it and if you dont have something intelligent to say, thendont say it at all because I sincerely doubt you know the first thing about fitness.

Seriously... for someone that claims to have 5 years of bodybuilding training.. you dont know very much...

MY WHOLE BODY HURTS.. SHOULD I KEEP PUNCHING THIS BAG FOR 5 HOURS A DAY??

Try 10 hours a day.. see if that helps

what you should do is keep hitting the bag untill you feel a sharp pain in your chest, trust me with my experience this will make you better than ever.
