trying to put a good workout

so basically now i do m,w,f i have an hour lifting and an hour and a half of martial arts training more cardio shit.

now would i be over training if on other days like tuesdays and thursdays i did circuit training? not so much intense weight lifting but some isometric bodyweight stuff maybe some tire flipping and leg stuff because on lifting i only do squats and deadlifts?

would it be too much or what do you guys recommend?
i've also been doing an hour of cardio on tuesdays thursdays and fridays addtionaly

so would it be too much? and would if i had a high calorie take in would i still be bulking up

i just want to be a better stronger fighter but i don't want to be doing all this shit and end up doing more of a weight loss thing

If you want to be a better fighter I would suggest more skill training.

You train an MMA class 3 times a week for 1.5 hours, and no more additional skill training, correct? If so, that's not very much.

yeah but those are the only days my school is open it's a small school. but what me and my friend hae been doing at night is some training and he's a blackbelt and an experienced mma fighter

but my question wukkadb is would i be overtraining or burning off more muscle than i'm putting on?

He probably has a lot more insight than myself. I would just watch your weight closly. If you are trying to maintain weight just bump up the calories/protien. Make sure you take a day or two off a week if you are going hardcore.

As long as you eat a lot to keep your body fueled and you listen to your body when it is being overstressed, you should be able to get away with some extra stuff on your days off.

Since you are already working with weights on MWF, I would suggest you stick to light stuff on TTh. Those would be great days for extra stretching, light calisthenics and maybe some short duration HIT training. You're already taxing yourself pretty good, so what you do on your days off should be geared around supporting your main focus without overdoing it.

Another thing you could think about doing for condition is interval training if you run on a treadmill or whatever.

Interval training is great for burning fat and building muscle. You'd be surprised how much more effective interval training is over just, say, running from point a to point b or running x mile(s) at a steady or pretty close to steady pace.

That really comes down to the calories you are burning compared to the calories you are taking in. If you are looking to add more stuff to your schedule, you should also focus on adding some more food into your diet, and focusing on getting proper sleep/rest.

I think if you wanted to add something on T/Th it'd be fine to do stuff like tire flipping or sled dragging, etc. I would also add in some stretching and calisthenics like previously stated, or some plyometric stuff. Stuff from Rosstraining would be good too: Click
