From the sound of it you should have some swelling maybe even bruising. If so it is blood going to that area. You should ice it for 20 min on and 20 min off. Also take some ibuprofen or something with neproxin sodium like aleeve. These will help reduce swelling take them as directed every so many hrs as they are more effective once there is a supply in your bloodstream. Do this for a few days. If it seems more serious than I described there could be a fracture, but as I am not there to inspect, that is your call. I had a similar problem when I took a hockey stick full swing to my cheek bone. Lots of swelling and bruising and numbness but no fracture. I looked like 2 face for about a week or so...
