I love listening to hard screaming metal when I'm pushing weights, I think it helps me explode and get that last rep.
I also dig catching a good highlight of fighters before I go train, it helps me stay focused on my goals.

I got two hiphop tracks by David Banner and Dead Prez that usually get me really hyped, or just some solid hardcore or punk rock music. But that's really the only thing that makes me go crazy in the gym. Unless I'm training muay thai, when getting hit usually gives me a rush of adrenaline and fires me up.

I was just thinking about starting a thread like this while I was working out this morning. But what really gets me going is the song "Warriors Code" by the Dropkick Murphys. The song is about a guy training for boxing, so it's relevant but the first few lines get me everytime: "You're the fighter you've got the fire / The spirit of a warrior, the champion's heart / You fight for your life because the fighter never quits / You make the most of the hand you're dealt / Because the quitter never wins"

That songs always pushes me and makes me do more.

I got 4-20 minute fights on my Ipod, just sound though since it would be kind of pointless trying to watch and train at the same time. Anyways the only inspiration for me is the Iceman.

Tell me what I cannot do... and I will prove you wrong."- Royce Gracie

At the muay thai gym I train at, Ive made it a habit to make friends with people at a higher level than me and begin sparring with them. As I progress I continue approaching better and better fighters to spar. Its great cause I get a good amount of a*s whooping administered on myself until I can hold my own then I step it up to someone better so I can continue getting beat on but progressing at the same time.

Musicwise eminem "lose yourself" I'm not even and eminem fan but the song motivates me.

I agree, in jiu jitsu class I always try to roll against guys with more experience or at least are bigger than me.

I generally watch a fight (gsp or silva or hansen) before I weight train.

Listen to music (broken social scene, sigur ros)

The fact that I'm goin to mexico for a week over new years with this unbelievably attractive girl and im goin to be topless for pretty much the whole time.
