Dieting
Right, I'm 5'10 and 73kg.
I'm just beginning training MMA style, I don't want to become a fighter, I may participate in some fights, but I'm mainly looking for the diet and training to keep in great shape, I just want to know if there's any sort of online diets or anything that is an MMA fighters type diet? I want to stay around this weight I'm guessing, I go to the gym a lot, I just need to eat better.

Read this and keep it bookmarked. Focus on eating 5-6 meals a day with a nice balance of protein, healthy fats, veggies, and healthy carbs.

Do you have any personal experience of that diet? It seems pretty extreme.

Well it's not really a "diet," it's just a list of a bunch of healthy proteins, healthy fats, healthy carbs, etc. that you should be eating in your diet. It's more of a reference point than anything.
Which part seemed extreme to you?

The lack of carbs. Actually I clicked at a link at the bottom of the page to the "Anabolic Diet 101" article where it said you should go 5 days a week without carbs (actually 12 days in a row when you start the diet). I know about Atkins and all, but I've just imagined that's for people who don't exercise but still want to be slim... It just seems I would be too exhausted to train effectively without my carbs.
The other thing that surprised me was that they recommended lots of saturated fat. I know you need fat to burn fat, but I've always imagined that you should focus on unsaturated fats as much as possible.
