Diet plans

I have been working on my strength, cardio, and conditioning but I am still at 220 lbs. Besides working out harder, I need to get on a diet because I haven't been on one. I have just avoiding eating sweets and junk food. What are some of the diet plans you guys are on and what do they consist of? I am 6'1 and I have seen some fighters being lean and looking good at 205 lbs and they are the same height as me. My goal is to be 185 lbs but I would be okay at 205 lbs. Can you guys help me by sending me a good diet plan and what it consists of? I am kind of bulky but I want to be leaner. I keep fighting heavy weights and these guys are BIG so if you guys could help me, I would appreciate it.

I've heard from a few people that one of the best diets too immediately lose weight is too not eat any thing unless it flies, swims or walks or is green and grows from the ground. Take a lot of fish oil every day(like 10+ grams a day). After you make some progress start adding in fruits, nuts, berries and dairy. Make sure too eat a lot, like 6+ meals a day. You can't really over do veggies and meat! I'm pretty sure it was Charles Poliquin who pioneered this diet so if you googled him you could find a more detailed description and not just some meatheads vague recolection! Good luck.

dont go crazy with the more fish... but eat as much fruit and veggies and u want.. and bread, no rice.. and just eat less at one time but eat more times

I dont wanna be that guy... but i think you are better off asking for tips like what Light_Speed and beaverherder are giving you. A diet plan that works for me may not work for someone else.

My Tip: there are three parts to being healthy exercise diet and rest. You need to be sleeping even it means missing a party or two. Make sure you are getting fat burning cardio. That means cardio where your heart rate is around 130. Eat 6 light meals a day 3 hours apart. I was about 207 3 weeks ago and really got serious about dropping weight and am currently at 197 just by putting in a little extra cardio and cutting out the crap.
